Trading in Piramal Enterprises (PEL) shares was suspended from September 23, 2025.

Why were PEL shares suspended? It happened because it got merged with Piramal Finance Ltd. The same was approved by NCLT.

So, what it mean for PEL shareholders? It means that Piramal Enterprises shareholders are now allotted shares of Piramal Finance.

Piramal Finance officially got listed on November 7, 2025, at a price of Rs. 1,260 per share.

Shares of Piramal Finance have been credited to the accounts of eligible shareholders as per the 1:1 merger swap ratio.  The record date was confirmed as September 23, 2025. This credit process was completed in early November when the stock started trading on the exchange.

I think the target price of Piramal Finance for 2026 looks decent. Analysts expect Piramal Finance shares to move in the range of Rs. 1,800. At present, it is trading at about ~ Rs. 1590 levels. Up by about 12-13% from current levels.

How will this happen? If the company manages a healthy ROE and continues strengthening its credit and digital lending business, this price appreciation looks most likely.

Personally, I think the business fundamentals look promising. Piramal Finance now has a sharper NBFC focus as it is targeting growth through retail and digital platforms.
